Description : Summary
Under general supervision, review loan files and validate or verify that the documentation meets the requirements as set out by the investor. Ensure all files are in compliance. Provide reports to management.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Verify or validate the following loan file information:
• Data entry
• Social Security Numbers
• Income calculations and supporting documentation
• Employment
• Asset documentation, as needed
• Appraisal or other property valuation data
• Documentation of adequate mortgage insurance, if applicable
• EPL and LDP searches for all parties to the transaction, if applicable
• MERS search on all transactions
Notify processor of any missing documentation and work to correct the documentation and bring the file into compliance. Document the correction.
Provide monthly reports to management of loan files that were not in compliance.
Review per investor requirements declined files for documentation and validity.
Review suspended LQI loan files on a daily basis, complete correction requests. Reconcile and provide logs as requested.
May back up Loan Assistants.
Related duties as assigned.

Requirements Minimum Position Qualifications
Generally this position requires one - two years in the banking industry or a combination of education and experience which provides the equivalent.
Skills & Abilities Required
Requires the ability to interact with others in a tactful, professional, courteous manner responding with discretion to any given situation.
Must be able to exercise independent judgment and initiative.
Requires attention to detail.
Must be thoroughly skilled in all secretarial and office practices including typing at an accurate rate of 60 wpm. Must be proficient in word processing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
