Loan Processor Job - Montvale, NJ - Posted 8/26/08

1st Metropolitan Mortgage is seeking individuals who are committed to being the very best. We are seeking a 2nd loan processor for our expanding Montvale office. These individuals will have a proven track record of success and will be able to come on board and make an immediate impact.

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE MON-THURS 10am to 5pm

Primary Responsibilities:

MUST HAVE FHA, DU, & LP EXPERIENCE
Opening loan file in Loan Origination Software
Pulling and reviewing credit report
Verifying that documentation provided by Loan officer and borrower matches loan application
Running loan file through automated underwriting engines as appropriate
Collecting all necessary documentation needed to submit loan file
Submission of loan file prior to commitment date to loan officer’s investor of choice
Typing of pre-approval or approval letters
Ordering title, insurance, flood and whatever other documents are needed to clear the file to close
Turning file into closing department clear to close with all necessary documents, i.e. flood, hazard insurance, title commitment, MI certificate (if necessary), termite if government loan etc.
Communicate with all interested parties status of the loan file.

Requirements

Experience & Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a mortgage loan processor with FHA, and Conventional loans.
Must have DU & LP experience
Thorough understanding regarding evaluating appraisals, title reports, flood certifications, hazard insurance, income documentation, credit reports
Must also be able to type, and know Microsoft Office products.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Must be able to work independently and research problems and questions as required.
