Job Summary:
Supports Mortgage Loan Officer and Mortgage Loan Underwriter by preparing and organizing loan files for underwriting, coordinates loan closings with title companies and clients, prepares documents for loan closings, and prepares loan files for shipping to investors. Assists mortgage clients, underwriters, and investors in resolving problems, clearing verification/documentation exceptions, and serves as a liaison with clients and originators in coordinating loan closings.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Gathers loan data and documents from clients while ensuring that all loan data is accurate and complies with FNMA and investor guidelines.
Enters and updates loan data into mortgage LOS System.
Orders all documents necessary from outside sources, i.e. appraisals, title work, flood certification, insurance, etc.
Clears processing conditions prior to submission on those listed on Underwriter’s approval by working with the client and requesting any necessary additional documentation.
Continues to monitor rate lock expirations, extends and relocks when necessary with supervisor’s approval.
Coordinates with the title companies to order/process and schedule loan closings. Prepares closing instructions and closing documents.
Once the closed loan packet is received from title company, reconcile closing fees to mortgage general ledger accounts.
Build and prepare mortgage files for shipping and funding to secondary market investors.
Reconciles purchase advice with Mortgage General Ledger accounts.
Posts closing documents i.e. filed mortgage, final title policies and assignments. Ensure that appropriate documents are forwarded to secondary market investor in timely fashion.
Responsible for input of HMDA Data to Point software.
Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Educational Requirements:
High school degree required.
Qualification Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of loan system processing and reporting options.
Thorough knowledge of policy and procedures as it relates to loan documentation and processing.
Thorough knowledge of loan accounting principles and procedures.
Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent PC skills with various software application packages.
Very strong problem solving of mathematical skills.
Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work under pressure
Experience Requirements:
One year previous mortgage loan processing experience highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Requires long periods of sitting and typing
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 10 pounds
