Job Description
Job Summary: Complete the mortgage loan processing and/or closing processes. Functions include processing customer loan payments, acquire necessary information to obtain loan decisions, collection, review and processing of mortgage related documents and assist in maintaining customer relationships.
Functional Responsibilities:
Perform one or more of the following functions; process, close, and fund mortgage loans according to established timelines, Standard Process Flow, regulations and procedures.
May validate Automated Underwriting System and decision loan if designation authority applies.
Review title requirements, exceptions, and other information obtained for accuracy , completeness, and conformance.
Set up file, review documentation in loan system or enter the data into the loan system.
Ensure file meets minimum documentation/product guidelines.
Review credit, disclosures, order title, MI and appraisal, if applicable.
Complete required checklists/worksheets.
Obtain additional documentation needed from all sources.
Submit for Automatic (Decisioner)/Underwriting approval.
Review & collect underwriter conditions and submit conditions for underwriting approval.
May Coordinate and schedule closing.
Prepare closing instructions and review required loan documentation and HUD-1 for accuracy. Review loan system and documentation in file returning to underwriting, if applicable.
Close out loan on system, scan file and deliver files to Post Closing, if applicable.
Review and respond to exception reports, internal and external audits, as required.
Maintain awareness of all legal regulations relating to processing and closing.
May prepare commitment letter.
Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Residential Mortgage Loan Processing.
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Strong knowledge of processes.
