FREIGHT CAPITAL is one of the nation’s leading asset-based lenders specializing in factoring (the purchase of accounts receivables) for the transportation industry.  We provide credit-checking services, collection services and all accounts receivable back office functions for the small/medium-sized trucker. We are located in Carlsbad, California and have been in business for the past 11 years with over 20 years of industry experience. 

The Loan Processor is responsible for analyzing internal and external documentation, compiling legal files, preparing proposals, preparing loan documents, reviewing loan qualifications, insurance, UCC’s, licenses and status for transportation companies.  Heavy data entry using 2 computer systems. 

Essential Functions:

Work within multiple software programs at one time
Work with external agencies (Federal Motor Carrier Authority, Licensing & Insurance, Secretary of State, Lexis, Ilein, insurance companies, etc.) to determine and resolve delinquent status
Customer service with clientele
Evaluate and analyze external data
Provide evaluation results and feedback
Prepare legal documentation with accuracy
 
Required Experience and Background:

Experience in the transportation industry a plus
Bi-lingual Spanish
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills
50 wpm with accuracy
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work with high volume and and deadlines, work under pressure
Extremely dependable; ability to work well with others; possess a high sense of urgency 
Willing to work overtime when necessary (never on weekends)
 
Education:

Undergraduate degree preferred; High School diploma required
Familiar with business structures (corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships)
Legal, contracts, compliance experience/background a plus
