Mortgage Underwriter 3 - Retail Underwriting , Annandale, VA

Job Description:

Mortgage Underwriter 3 needed in Annandale, VA.  Responsible for underwriting residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with bank, FHA/VA, and secondary market standards.  Communicates with processors, originators, and other internal and external clients.  Meets performance standards and goals established by the bank.  May be required to assist in the training of less experienced underwriters and residential origination staff members.  May be in a lead role.

Minimum Qualifications:  Incumbents will possess 5 or more years of mortgage loan underwriting experience and be responsible for mortgage loans of the most complex nature including conventional, FHA and VA, bond/housing authority, and non-conforming loans. 

Preferred Qualifications:  Mortgage loan underwriting experience in the last year.  DE and/or LAPP certification is highly preferred.
