T & I Specialist Job - Beaverton, OR - Posted 8/23/10

Job description

IBM’s Lender Business Process Services (LBPS) team is seeking a T&I Specialist Responsible for various duties to ensure the administration of borrowers’ escrow funds. Apply refunds to escrow accounts as necessary. Open escrow accounts and advance funds on non-escrowed loans to pay for property taxes and/or lender placed insurance in the event the borrower fails to pay these expenses. Responsible for handling vouchers, checks, wiring instructions, and billing files. Performs research related to property taxes, home owner’s insurance, mortgage insurance, and escrow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintains a detail oriented work ethic for all assigned tasks.
2. Analyzes tax assessment data on escrowed accounts, prepares voucher requests, and remits payment prior to the estimated loss date to avoid penalties and interest.
3. Obtains billing files from various vendors, assesses disbursement to the appropriate loan, and remits payments for property taxes, voluntary insurance, lender placed insurance, and mortgage insurance.
4. Processes escrow related refunds to the borrowers’ account within allotted timelines.
5. Updates loan level information to reflect recent activity and applies appropriate comments detailing actions on the account.
6. Focuses on one task at a time and thrives in a high production environment.
7. Manages time and prioritizes work appropriately.
8. Able to learn quickly, take direction, and work independently.
9. Demonstrates T&I Department’s core values of: respect for each other, teamwork, dedication, as well as efficient and accurate work.
10. Willing to adapt to a changing and challenging work environment.
11. Desires to help improve the organization as a whole through meaningful suggestions and innovations.

Required

* Associate’s Degree/College Diploma
* At least 2 years experience in mortgage servicing or combined education and work experience
* English: Fluent
